After graduating from Simon Borg-Oliver and Bianca Machliss' 3 year apprentice training, Liz pursued her yoga studies with Michael De Manincor, in the tradition of Krishnamacharya. Liz has also trained and studied with Saraswathi Vasudevan, Lesley Kaminoff and Donna Farhi. Liz has been producing Applied Anatomy and Physiology courses for Sydney-based yoga teacher trainer courses, including YogaWorks, Qi Natural Therapies and Yoga, Life-Source Yoga and The Yoga Institute since 2006. During this time, Liz has worked with esteemed teachers, including Michael de Manincor, Christina Brown and Mark O’Brien. Fuyuko is a certified iRest Yoga Nidra® teacher and supervisor/mentor. She is also a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher who specialises in private one-on-one, small group, and corporate yoga on the Gold Coast. She has been intensely committed to the science of Yoga since 1996, having learned directly from remarkable renowned Yoga Teachers such as Richard Miller, Donna Farhi, Judith Hanson-Lasater, and Laurene Hassard. Since Fuyuko began studying iRest with Richard Miller in 2007, her life of Non-dual living has brought her ever deepening astonishment, stillness, joy, Pure Awareness, and Love. She assists and co-teaches iRest Yoga Nidra trainings in North America and Australia. She has also assisted several Advance Yoga Teacher trainings and workshops for Donna Farhi. Dr. Mary Flaherty is a psychologist, educator and researcher. She is a psychology lecturer at Edith Cowan University in Perth and supervises research on the benefits of yoga, mindfulness and positivity. Mary has published numerous pieces and she has also presented on yoga and its connection to lower back pain at the 2011 Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research in Monteray, California (IAYT annual conference). She is currently investigating the influence of yoga on body satisfaction. She completed a doctorate in psychology focusing on the cross-cultural aspects of how we think, memorize and read. In addition to her academic career, Mary works as a life coach, and gives inspirational workshops on positive psychology. She also teaches yoga, maintains her own practice, and trains junior counsellors. |
